Cristina L. Bolívar (Granada, 1984).
Lighting designer, she develops his work
mainly in the field of performance and contemporary dance like lighting design,
audiovisual creation, artistic accompaniment, and technical direction and
coordination.
Degree in Audiovisual Communication with
a specialty in film and photography from the University of Malaga, and trained
in Lighting at the School of Performing Arts of Andalusia. Starting in 2007,
she began working on lighting and audiovisuals for music shows.
In 2010 she begins his degree in Anthropology at the University of Granada and collaborating in the creation of lighting, scenography and audiovisuals with the University Theater Group, directed by Sara Molina. Since 2010, and between the cities of Madrid and Granada, her work is completely concentrated on the creation of lighting and audiovisuals for theater, performance and contemporary dance. She finishes her degree in Anthropology at the University of Lyon in 2015, with a research work on Anthropology of the Body.
Since 2012 she has been working with artists and companies such as Tania Arias, Cía. Daniel Abreu, Elena Córdoba, La Tristura, Irene Cantero, Poliana Lima, etc. She has created lighting and visual designs for Sara Molina, Hurycan, Lucía Marote, Teatro de Açucar, El Bailadero de Mónica Valenciano, Cía. Janet Novás, Carlota Mantecón, Altraste Danza, Luz Prado, Julio Provencio, Mucha Muchacha, among other companies, and has participated in a wide series of artistic and creative residencies. At the beginning of 2021 she designed the lighting for the exhibition Trémula by the plastic artist Javier Cruz, and in the autumn of that same year she co-designed the lighting for the annual Dialecto exhibition, together with the illuminator Irene Cantero, both at the Ca2M museum in Móstoles (Madrid). She currently combines the technical direction of national and international tours of several dance companies with the lighting design.
